See exactly how PermitAIO works

Real screens, real steps. This walkthrough covers tech roles, team workload visibility, and job assignment — the features that let a manager run five permit techs without a single status-check phone call.

PermitAIO Settings page with a My tech identity card showing Permit tech and HOA tech dropdowns

Settings → My tech identity — pick your Permit tech and HOA tech, then Save.

Step 01

Set your own tech identity

Every teammate tells PermitAIO which Permit tech and HOA tech they are. It's self-service — open Settings, pick your identity from the dropdowns, and save. This is what powers the "My Jobs" filter on the dashboard.

PermitAIO Jobs dashboard Team Status panel showing active job counts per permit tech and HOA tech

Team Status shows active workload per tech — visible to Owner, Admin, and Manager roles.

Step 02

See the whole team's workload

Owners, Admins, and Managers see a Team Status panel at the top of the Jobs dashboard — every tech's active job count and anything that needs attention, at a glance.

Toggle between "My Jobs" (just your assigned work) and "All Jobs" (everything).

Step 03

Switch between My Jobs and All Jobs

Every user gets a one-click toggle: My Jobs shows only what's assigned to you, All Jobs shows the entire organization's pipeline. No separate filters to configure.

PermitAIO Jobs table with a Tech column dropdown open to reassign the permit tech on a job

Click the Tech dropdown on any job row to reassign its Permit tech or HOA tech.

Step 04

Reassign a job in one click

Owners, Admins, and Managers can change the Permit tech or HOA tech on any job right from the dashboard table — no need to open the job first. The change saves instantly and Team Status updates with it.

PermitAIO Settings Team section with a role dropdown showing Owner, Admin, Manager, and Member options

Settings → Team — the Owner can change anyone's role, including granting Manager.

Step 05

Control who can change roles

Only the Owner can promote a teammate to Manager or change anyone's role. It keeps access tightly controlled while letting the Owner delegate day-to-day job assignment to people they trust.
